Martin Kreutner and Ilse-Maria Vrabl-SandaOn 14 April, IACA received a delegation from the Austrian Public Prosecutor’s Office for Combatting Economic Crimes and Corruption (WKStA), including its Head, Ilse-Maria Vrabl-Sanda.

The delegation was briefed on IACA’s technical assistance capacities, its Master in Anti-Corruption Studies programme, upcoming open trainings, and the added benefit of tailor-made courses. The meeting also focused on an exchange of experiences on capacity building measures in the fight against corruption, and possibilities for further cooperation between the WKStA and IACA.

The WKStA, under the umbrella of the Austrian Ministry of Justice, is the country’s prime authority for handling corruption cases, impeachment, and economic crime, with the power to conduct preliminary investigations and serve as the counsel for the prosecution.
