Talks centred on preparations for the third Assembly session, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2014. The Dean also provided an update on recent developments at IACA, including membership status, trainings and academic programmes, budgetary issues, as well as the implementation of relevant resolutions. He reiterated his gratitude to the Kingdom of Thailand for generously hosting the second session of the Assembly and for its unwavering commitment to IACA over the years.
The second session of the Assembly of Parties took place in Bangkok from 9 to 11 December 2013, culminating in the unanimous adoption of six resolutions. The officers elected at this session include H.E. Panthep Klanarongran (President, Kingdom of Thailand), Rafael Paulino (Vice-President, Brazil), Antonio Casado Rigalt (Vice-President, Spain), Olaolu Adegbite (Rapporteur, Nigeria), and H.E. Sahib N. Alakbarov (Rapporteur, Azerbaijan).
