DSC 1184In the latest in a series of meetings between IACA and the Omani authorities, a delegation from the country’s State Audit Institution was on campus earlier this week to discuss ways of strengthening mutual ties in the fight against corruption.

These links could include, among others, the participation of Omani professionals in IACA’s programmes and trainings.

Mr. Nasser Hamood Al-Rawahy, Vice Chair of the State Audit Institution of Oman, gave an update on his organization’s current activities and was in turn briefed on developments at IACA by Mr. Martin Kreutner, Dean and Executive Secretary.

The functions of the institution are to conduct "post facto" audits of State Public Funds, to expose cases of financial irregularities, and to highlight deficiencies in financial laws, rules, and regulations and recommend means of correcting them.
