Description
This course will provide participants with tools and knowledge to enhance their skills to effectively plan anti-corruption projects. The course is designed for Anti-corruption professionals who wish to embark on the design of projects and will cover the main tools used by government agencies, international organizations, and development agencies. These tools are coupled with specific approaches to design and implement anti-corruption interventions. The course not only covers theoretical approaches but uses real case scenarios.
Learning objectives
- A rigorous understanding of the general framework of project planning;
- knowledge of specific approaches to anti-corruption project planning;
- understanding of targeted tools for planning anti-corruption projects;
analytical skills necessary to organize all elements of a project coherently.
Structure and Workload
Approximately 24 Hours (8 hours per week)
The course is delivered online, and includes pre-recorded lectures, synchronous live lectures, self-assessments, individual assignment and online discussions. It is adapted specifically for professionals in full-time work.

Professional working in the anti-corruption or related area aiming to embark on the design of projects specifically targeted to tackle corruption.
Certificate
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to all participants who successfully complete the course.
Lecturer
Martin Zapata is an anti-corruption professional and academic with extensive experience working as an expert and consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Inter-American Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Anticorruption Center - UDESA, and the Bolivian Ministry for Anti-Corruption, where he also served as Director General of Prevention, Ethics and Transparency. Mr. Zapata was also a Research Associate at the International Anti-Corruption Academy, and collaborated in research projects with academic institutions in Argentina, Austria, Bolivia and Germany.
He is currently the Regional Coordinator for Latin America of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative. Mr. Zapata holds a law degree from the University of San Andres, and Master’s degrees from the University of Meiji in Japan (political science) and the University of Melbourne in Australia (public policy and management).
