IACA is pleased to announce the launch of its Mentorship Programme for early-career professionals enrolled in its current Master’s Programmes. This initiative aims to nurture the next generation of ethical leaders by offering practical guidance, critical thinking tools, and personalized support for those at the start of their professional journeys.

The IACA Mentorship Programme is your first step toward leading the global fight against corruption.

  • The programme starts in October 2025, aligned with the academic calendar

  • Ongoing evaluation and personalized support throughout the year

WHO IS THIS PROGRAMME FOR?

This one-year mentorship programme is designed for newly admitted students of the following IACA’s Master’s Programmes:

  • MACS – Master in Anti-Corruption Studies
  • IMACC – International Master in Anti-Corruption Compliance and Collective Action
  • MACC – Master in Anti-Corruption Studies and Compliance (Spanish)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline and is eligible for admission to IACA’s Master’s Programmes
  • Has no work experience
  • Has less than 3 years of work experience and no experience in anti-corruption or compliance work

Duration

  • One year
  • Runs concurrently with the first year of the master’s programme

Structure

  • 12 Group mentoring sessions (90 minutes each)
    • Thematic sessions aligned with programme modules
    • Covers writing skills, real-world cases, ethics, compliance, and more
  • 12 Individual coaching sessions (45–60 minutes each)
    • One-on-one sessions tailored to academic and career development goals
  • These sessions will be held in the pre-and post-live session phases
    • Orientation before live classes
    • Clarification and guidance after live session delivery
  • Fully online or in-person options are available for flexibility.

Mentors

  • IACA faculty, carefully selected external experts, and experienced IACA alumni
  • Mentors support mentees’ learning and offer guidance - however, there will be no direct assistance with assignments or thesis writing.

Internship and On-Campus Learning Options

  • Eligible participants may undertake a 3-month internship at IACA (or at external organizations such as UNODC, UNDP, TI, U4, etc., at their own initiative and application) and submit a report for grading.
  • Successful completion of a related internship will earn the mentee 6 ECTS credits, reducing their thesis word count requirement from 20,000–25,000 to 15,000–18,000 words.
  • In-person access to the IACA’s campus, library facilities and tutorials (if residing in Austria).

Networking and Global Exposure

  • Access to IACA’s alumni network
  • Invitation to IACA's events and discussion forums
  • Eligible participants based in Austria may attend international conferences and meetings, subject to admissibility and availability, as IACA delegates

DELIVERY Format

  • Hybrid format: Online via MS Teams or in-person (optional)
  • Asynchronous learning resources are available through IACA’s platform
  • Group and individual mentoring schedules aligned for global time zones
  • Support continues into year two on an ad-hoc basis, depending on individual needs
