Measuring the Effectiveness of Anti-Corruption Agencies - Expert Meeting 2

Building on the first expert meeting, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) convened its second expert meeting to transition its ACA effectiveness methodology from concept to a proven, practical tool. The August 2025 gathering brought together 42 institutions to analyze feedback from a pilot survey involving 44 anti-corruption agencies (ACAs). The focus shifted from design to refinement, as participants addressed real-world implementation challenges, including technical barriers and data availability issues. A key outcome was the development of the “ACA Effectiveness Dashboard,” a confidential tool designed to help agencies visualize their performance for self-assessment and advocacy, while deliberately avoiding simplistic ACA rankings.
