On 23 January, an IACA delegation led by Martin Kreutner, International Transition Team Chair and Executive Secretary to the Provisional Commission, met with Waldemar Pawlak, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy. Deputy Prime Minister Pawlak commended the Academy’s work and disclosed that Poland is eager to strengthen ties with IACA.

On 11 November IACA representatives paid an official visit to Liechtenstein, one of the Academy´s Founding Members. During a working meeting with Aurelia Frick, the Principality´s Minister of Justice, the Academy´s present and future activities were discussed and possibilities for tailor-made trainings for prosecutors elaborated on.

On 28 October the 4th session of Conference of the States Parties (CoSP) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) came to a successful close.

From 22 to 25 November, IACA will host the Annual Professional Conference and General Assembly of the European Partners Against Corruption (EPAC/EACN) network. Initiated in 2001 and established in 2004, EPAC is an independent, informal network which brings together more than 60 police oversight bodies and anti-corruption authorities from Council of Europe and EU Member States.
