DSC 0681eA delegation from the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) visited IACA last week to discuss prospects for future collaboration in preventing and combating corruption.

The meeting explored possible cooperation between IACA and the GCC in areas including joint events and outreach with the Council’s Secretariat and member countries, as well as potential trainings and other activities at regional level.

The GCC delegation was headed by Mr. Salah bin Naif Al Mukhalafi, Director General of the Council’s Economic Judiciary Affairs Office, and also included staff from the GCC’s Permanent Observer Mission in Vienna.

During the meeting the delegation also received an update on IACA’s many current and upcoming education and training activities. These include, among others, the second edition of the International Master in Anti-Corruption Compliance and Collective Action (IMACC), a degree programme for professionals from the business sector that starts in January 2019, and a two-day seminar later this month about the impact of emerging technologies on compliance systems.
