Mongolia soon to join IACAOn 28 February, Martin Kreutner, Dean and Executive Secretary, met with H.E. Mr. Luvsanvandan Bold, Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Government of Mongolia.

Present at this meeting was also the new Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Austria, H.E. Mr. Batjargal Gunaajav. The talks were a follow-up to the informal contact in New York in September 2012, where Minister Bold and Mr. Kreutner met at a side event to the General Assembly’s first high-level meeting on the rule of law.

Mr. Kreutner used the occasion to renew the invitation for Mongolia to join the International Anti-Corruption Academy as a full member and discussed related details. Minister Bold informed that the accession procedure is in its final steps and that Mongolia looks forward to becoming a strong partner of the organization.

He also handed over a personal invitation for the VII Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Democracies which will be held in Ulaanbaatar on 29 April 2013. Mr. Kreutner gladly accepted the invitation and expressed his conviction that the Ministerial Conference would be yet another important facilitator in building democratic capacities and deepening the links between Mongolia and IACA.
