It represented the second event in a series of tailor-made seminars featuring preeminent academics from the anti-corruption field who come to IACA in order to lecture and present the best of their work. This time, Both Rothstein, head of the August Röhss Chair of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and one of the most renowned Swedish political scientists taught at IACA.
Among the issues on Prof. Rothstein’s agenda were the political and moral logic of corruption, quality of government, creating political legitimacy, and how the character of political institutions affects the social trust of the population. During sessions, the participants from diverse backgrounds found plenty of time to ask questions, for lively discussions, and to analyze some of the topics on the agenda from their own professional view. The third “Best of” will feature Prof. Robert Klitgaard and is scheduled to take place on 24 and 25 June 2013.
