IACA Welcomes the Tunisan AmbassadorOn 16 May, IACA received H.E. Mohamed Samir Koubaa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna.

Talks centered on Tunisia’s state of affairs with regard to anti-corruption, particularly in light of the Arab Spring developments. The meeting also provided an opportunity for discussing IACA’s work and how the organization can provide technical assistance in implementing legal instruments such as the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and on a more regional note, the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption. Ambassador Koubaa noted that for Tunisia, IACA’s mandate of training practitioners who could go into the field and disseminate their knowledge is of crucial importance, and expressed hope for the establishment of a formal relationship in the near future.
