On 19 JLUX thumbnailanuary, an IACA delegation met with representatives of the Luxembourgish government, including Minister of Justice François Biltgen and Minister of Finance Luc Frieden.

The IACA delegation was led by Martin Kreutner, Chair of the International Transition Team and Executive Secretary to IACA’s Provisional Commission. During the meetings it was agreed that the Luxembourgish Ministry of Justice and IACA will jointly organize a conference on anti-corruption in the first quarter of 2013. Moreover, Luxembourg pledged to support IACA’s Master in Anti-Corruption Studies programme by providing participation scholarships for individuals from its development aid target region. A Signatory since 2 September 2010, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg also intends to ratify the Agreement for the Establishment of IACA as an International Organization in the near future.

This visit was followed by a meeting with representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB). Talks cantered on an exchange of strategies and experiences in combating fraud and corruption, and both sides agreed to intensify their cooperation in the future.
