On 10 July, a delegation from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of the Republic of Korea, headed by Chairman Mr. Sungbo Lee, visited IACA. The aim of the visit was to discuss the further strengthening of cooperation between the two organizations.
The ACRC was eager to share its valuable experience and expertise, such as the Integrity Assessment tool that received the 2012 UN Public Service Award. ACRC is strongly committed to enlarging its collaboration network as it was stated by Chairman Lee in his address, “ACRC has been accumulating abundant experiences and policies regarding corruption crimes, and we are fully ready to share our experience with the international community through the Academy”.
It was also the occasion for a ceremony highlighting the generous financial contribution of the Republic of Korea to IACA. As underlined in the speech of Mr. Martin Kreutner, Dean and Executive Secretary of IACA, “The Republic of Korea and the ACRC are strong supporters of IACA and its mission. The development of corruption measuring instruments such as the Integrity Assessment tool is an example of best practice worth sharing with the international network of corruption fighters”.
