On 24 August IACA hosted a distinguished delegation from Ecuador, including Edwin Jarrín, Minister of Transparency, Tatiana Ordeñana, Minister of the Council on Citizen Participation and Social Control, and Rafael Parreño, the State Under-Prosecutor General.
The delegation was also accompanied by H.E. Diego Stacey Moreno, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna. The Ecuadorian officials had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the Academy´s five-pillar approach to anti-corruption education and discuss the variety of programmes and training events IACA can offer. Martin Kreutner, Chair of the IACA International Transition Team, also elaborated on the advantages of becoming Party to the IACA Agreement, with respect to which the delegates expressed confidence in their country’s possible accession.
The talks were concluded with a tour of the Academy´s facilities, housed in the recently renovated Palais Kaunitz-Wittgenstein.
