On 19 August, an IACA delegation headed by the Academy’s Dean and Executive Secretary of the organization’s Assembly of Parties, Mr. Martin Kreutner, met with the Austrian Minister of the Interior, H.E. Ms. Johanna Mikl-Leitner.
Talks centered on preparations for IACA’s 2nd Assembly of Parties which is going to be convened in Bangkok, Thailand, from 9 to 11 December this year. At this gathering, Ms. Mikl-Leitner’s tasks, who served as elected president during IACA’s 1st Assembly of Parties in November 2012, will be handed over to a new presidency and Bureau. During yesterday’s meeting, Mr. Kreutner emphasized and thanked the Minister for the good relationship between the Academy and the host country of Austria. He also informed Ms. Mikl-Leitner about ongoing developments at the Academy, including the first Master in Anti-Corruption Studies (MACS) and the successful realization of the third edition of the annual International Anti-Corruption Summer Academy (IACSA).
