IACA's Dean presented his credentials to the Director-General of United Nations Office in Vienna

On 3 July 2020, Mr. Thomas Stelzer, the Dean and Executive Secretary of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), presented his credentials as Permanent Observer to the United Nations to Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Director-General of United Nations Office in Vienna and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

In the framework of this meeting, the Heads of IACA and UNODC discussed possibilities of cooperation between the two organizations, including IACA's readiness to support the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) as well as the preparatory process of the Special Session on corruption of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGASS) to take place in April next year. UNODC was one of the Academy’s initiating partners and is represented in the IACA Board of Governors.
