IACA and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) sign Memorandum of Understanding

On 15 December, the Dean of IACA, Mr. Thomas Stelzer, and the Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Mr. Nikhil Seth, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document sets a framework for cooperation for both organizations on issues of common interest.

Work has already begun on a number of joint activities including a jointly implemented masters programme and an executive diploma, both due to launch in 2021.

On signing the memorandum Dean Stelzer remarked: “I am delighted to sign this document formalising the cooperation between our organisations. IACA and UNITAR are natural partners operating in the field of international training and education. By joining forces, I believe we can extend our reach and bring anti-corruption knowledge to a wider group of professionals and students around the world. In addition, through this cooperation, IACA will be able to make sizeable contribution to the UN anti-corruption efforts”

Executive Director Nikhil Seth said: "I am thrilled about the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between UNITAR and IACA. This partnership is an excellent opportunity for both parties to join resources and expertise to bring forward timely and valuable projects and activities. The collaboration will be launched with the first edition of an 18-month Master programme on Anti-Corruption and Diplomacy starting in September 2021."

Information on the launch of IACA-UNITAR joint programmes will be published on IACA’s website in early 2021.
