Online Trainings
ANNUAL REPORT 2022
To meet the needs of a dynamic anti-corruption community for efficient and effective learning in 2022, IACA continued providing online training opportunities and learning materials. These cover various topics, presented in different formats, and offered in several languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian) to serve a wider audience. The courses are offered through a designated learning management system and are open to the public for enrolment. The content was developed and designed in collaboration with well-renowned academics and experts from diverse geographical, professional, and educational backgrounds and expertise.
Instructor-led online trainings
Since its introduction, the instructor led online trainings have attracted more than three hundred and thirty (330) participants from nearly sixty-four (64) countries, in which the feedback continues to be positive.
Instructor-led online trainings are ideal for working professionals, incorporating both live lectures and self-study materials as the learning methods. The duration of the training sessions ranges from four to six weeks, following a fixed schedule. By employing an engaging and dynamic approach and using the latest software, IACA ensures an experience of online interactive learning. For 2022, a comprehensive range of instructor-led trainings was offered on the following topics:
- A Value Based Compliance Programme
- Anti-Corruption Compliance Management in Corporate Sector: The Quest for Effectiveness
- AML/CFT and Anti-Corruption Compliance: Comparative Aspects and Practical Implementation
- Business, Human rights, and Anti-Corruption
- Corporate Internal Investigation Techniques
- Corruption and Tax Fraud
- Leveraging Emerging Technologies for Anti-Corruption and Compliance Measures
Altogether, 80 participants from 36 nationalities took part in these trainings. Through the implementation of the project "Empowering Women through Education to Fight Corruption", funded by the Swiss König Bauer Gruppe, fifty-six (56) out of sixty-nine (69) female professionals were granted scholarships to participate in the trainings.
Self-paced online courses
Self-paced online courses saw 5,791 enrolments from 4,760 different users, since the launch of this format, indicating that a considerable number of participants are using the opportunity to complete several different courses they come across in the IACA learning management platform.
Self-paced online courses provide learning opportunities for professionals with different levels of experience and backgrounds to enhance their knowledge at their own schedule and pace. During 2022, self-study courses were offered covering the following topics:

- Using Asset Disclosure to Detect Indicators of Corruption
- Handling Conflicts of Interest in the Public Sector
- Introduction to the Conflicts of Interest Management in the Private Sector
- Use of Anti-Corruption Compliance Standards and Guidelines for Designing and Implementing an Anti-Corruption Compliance Programme
- Insights into Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence: A Basic Introduction for Non-Technicians
