IACA Celebrates 10th Anniversary of the UNCAC

IACA today joined in celebrating the tenth anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and pledged to continue advancing the Convention’s goals by empowering anti-corruption professionals across the globe.

The UNCAC entered into force on 14 December 2005 and introduced a state-owned review mechanism in 2009, under which countries monitor each other to see whether the implementation of the Convention is on schedule.

Advancing the goals of the UNCAC has been, and remains, the cornerstone of IACA’s work. Last month, in St. Petersburg, a Resolution adopted by the Conference of the States Parties (COSP) to the UNCAC recognized IACA’s important contribution to anti-corruption.
