IACA’s Advisory Boards Convene ahead of the Assembly

IACA’s International Senior Advisory Board (ISAB) and International Academic Advisory Board (IAAB) are holding a joint meeting in Laxenburg today and tomorrow to discuss general matters in view of the Assembly of Parties.

The implementation of the Work Programme 2014–2016 and future activities and programmes of the Academy are high on the agenda.

The ISAB, chaired by Mr. M. Hershman (USA), co-founder of Transparency International, a former advisor to FIFA and a member of its Independent Governance Committee, currently consists of 11 eminent personalities from a variety of backgrounds, responsible for providing advice on how the highest standards with regard to the Academy’s purpose can be maintained.

The IAAB, with Professor H.H. Kühne (GER) from the University of Trier as its Chair, serves an advisory function in view of education, training, and research. At present, ten internationally renowned academics and practitioners form the Board.

The ISAB and IAAB held their last meetings in June 2014, after their formal (re-)election by the Board of Governors.
