IACA Dean & Executive Secretary Speaks at BCLS in New York

IACA’s Dean and Executive Secretary, Martin Kreutner, addressed leaders at the 10th Blouin Creative Leadership Summit (BCLS) in New York yesterday.

Speaking just days ahead of the United Nations summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda, he discussed corruption’s enduring stranglehold on human security and its critical link to sustainable development.

“International cooperation and anti-corruption education are key to tackling pressing socio-economic challenges, safeguarding human rights, and strengthening the rule of law”, he said.

Mr. Kreutner also touched upon the variety of technical assistance and capacity-building programmes IACA offers to empower professionals in their anti-corruption efforts, all of which contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The BCLS has brought together over 100 leading figures in the areas of science, technology, culture, business, and politics to discuss global threats to humanity, as well as opportunities presented by new technology, developing political relationships, and other issues. The two-day event ends today.
