A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran visited IACA’s campus on 22 January 2019 to learn more about IACA’s work in empowering anti-corruption and compliance professionals around the world and to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation with the organization in the areas of anti-corruption, compliance, and education.
The delegation was led by Dr. Naser Seraj, President of the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Kazem Gharib Abadi, Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Organizations in Vienna. Other officials from the General Inspection Organization also attended the meeting.
Dr. Naser Seraj and Mr. Martin Kreutner, Dean and Executive Secretary of IACA, also discussed the importance of international cooperation and efforts in preventing and combating corruption. They agreed that the exchange of ideas and dialogues among anti-corruption professionals, as well as specific trainings and academic cooperation, including research activities, are essential for developing such cooperation.
