IACA and the Anticorruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 18 November that sets the overall framework for closer cooperation in fighting and preventing corruption. Forms of cooperation under the MoU may include, inter alia, joint initiatives aimed at preventing and combating corruption, information sharing, promoting capacity, research projects, and other activities in the areas of anti-corruption and compliance.
The document was signed at IACA’s Laxenburg campus by Mr. Thomas Stelzer, IACA’s Dean and Executive Secretary, and Mr. Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
