IACA and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) of Nigeria signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 December, on the margins of the 9th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, the Arab Republic of Egypt. The MoU sets the overall framework for closer cooperation in fighting and preventing corruption. Forms of cooperation under the MoU may include, inter alia, joint initiatives aimed at preventing and combating corruption, convening meetings, information sharing, promoting capacity, research projects, and other activities in the areas of anti-corruption and compliance.
