Inspired by the successful implementation of the last year’s International Anti-Corruption Summer Schools for Africa and Asia, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) continue their collaboration to provide the youth with both ethical skills and theoretical and practical knowledge of what corruption is and what are its harmful impacts on society. This time, we are joining forces to organize the first international anti-corruption summer school for students and young people from Eastern Europe.
The 7-day programme of the Summer School is designed for young enthusiastic individuals that want to become ethical agents of change in their environment and will equip them with ethical mindsets as well as raise awareness among them of the values and principles of integrity, ethics, and anti-corruption.
The first edition of the International Anti-Corruption Summer School – Eastern Europe is now open for interested applicants who are 18 – 29 years old and are nationals of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, and Serbia. The number of places in the programme is limited, and participants will be selected based on their language ability, educational background, personal interest in the topic, and motivation. The application deadline is April 25, 2022.
International Anti-Corruption Summer School – Eastern Europe will be delivered online, in an interactive manner and will include seven substantive topics. The sessions will be implemented by internationally renowned professors or practitioners, sharing their knowledge and experience in the field of anti-corruption, and enriching the classes with practical examples, thus providing a unique insight into the sessions’ topics.
Upon successful completion of the International Anti-Corruption Summer School – Eastern Europe, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion of the programme from IACA and UNODC.
The International Anti-Corruption Summer School – Eastern Europe will be conducted in the English language. Participation in the summer school is free of charge. The programme is financially supported by the Republic of Austria.
