The Permanent Observer for the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Jonathan Granoff, presented his letter of appointment to UN Secretary-General António Guterres December 21, 2022, at UN Headquarters in New York City.
Secretary-General Guterres and Permanent Observer Granoff met in private and during their substantive discussion the Secretary General expressed his appreciation and support for the mission of IACA. In addition, they shared the importance of effectively ending the illicit financial flows that drain resources needed to achieve the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals. Mr. Granoff thanked him for his leadership in working for greater multilateral cooperation and peace.
Jonathan Granoff is an American lawyer, screenwriter and lecturer, widely known as President of the Global Security Institute, Senior Advisor and United Nations Representative of the World Summits of Nobel Peace Laureates, former Adjunct Professor of International Law Widener University School of Law, and Senior Advisor to the Committee on National Security of American Bar Association International Law Section. He is Fellow of the American Bar Association and a Trustee and Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). Mr. Granoff was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
