Chinese Delegation Discusses Further Trainings

A delegation of anti-corruption officials from China was on campus last week for discussions on how to further strengthen cooperation with IACA, including through tailor-made trainings delivered by the Academy for Chinese professionals.

The delegation was led by Mr. Cai Wei, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation in the National Commission of Supervision. He was accompanied by other officials from the same department and from the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna.

Future tailor-made trainings would be financed within the framework of voluntary contributions by China to IACA over the period 2017 to 2019

In addition, in September this year China will host the IACA Regional Summer Academy - East and Southeast Asia, an eight-day programme in Beijing for anti-corruption and compliance professionals from 16 countries.

China acceded to the Agreement for the Establishment of IACA as an International Organization in September 2014. Previous joint activities include, among others, the China-ASEAN Anti-Corruption Workshop that was co-hosted by IACA and China in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, in November 2016.
