IACA signs MoU with the Fundação Getulio Vargas, Brazil

IACA has gained a new partner in the fight against corruption in Latin America through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), one of Brazil’s leading higher education institutions and think tanks with a mission to stimulate the country’s socioeconomic development. The partnership between IACA and FGV, through its São Paulo School of Business Administration, “FGV EAESP”, and its Research Center for Studies on Ethics, “FGVethics”, will foster integrity across the next generation of Brazilian public and private sector leaders and promote a greater involvement of IACA in the region.

The MoU, which sets the overall framework for cooperation between the two institutions, was signed by Mr. Thomas Stelzer, IACA’s Dean and Executive Secretary, and Mr. Carlos Ivan Siomonsen Leal, President of the FGV, during the first day of the Americas Health Ethics Virtual Forum, on 17 August 2021.

Forms of cooperation under the MoU may include, inter alia, joint projects aimed at preventing and combating corruption, information sharing, promoting capacity- and institution-building programmes in anti-corruption, making use of each other’s professional networks, and other forms of technical assistance.
