The Anti-Corruption Collective Action Certificate Starts Activities

The Academy is proud to announce that on 28 March 2022 its Anti-Corruption Collective Action Certificate (ACA) programme commenced in the framework of the newly established Anti-Corruption Collective Action Impact Centre.

Its diverse group of participants consists of anti-corruption professionals from nine countries on four continents. It is composed mainly of members of the IACA Alumni Network, including also participants nominated by the Academy´s partner organizations – the Alliance for Integrity, the Fisheries Transparency Initiative, and the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network.

This first global post-graduate certificate programme in anti-corruption and Collective Action offers two interdisciplinary online modules on anti-corruption, Collective Action and project management methodology. The first course introducing students to collective action and anti-corruption studies was delivered by Professor Michael Johnston. Subsequent courses organized in collaboration with the Corruption, Justice and Legitimacy Program (CJL) are taught by Professor Cheyanne Scharbatke-Church and Mr. Peter Woodrow. They focus on systems thinking, stakeholder analysis, and theories of change. Additional classes will focus on case studies of multi-stakeholder initiatives and shed light on Collective Action in practice.

In the following phase, participants will start implementing their projects, applying the knowledge and skills gained from the classes, with continuous guidance and support from IACA.

Thanks to the Golden Stretch Funding Round of the Siemens Integrity Initiative, the programme costs are fully covered. Interested parties and prospective applicants for future intakes can access more information here.
