The third edition of the training program Executive Diploma in Anti-Corruption and Diplomacy (EDACD) 2024 delivered jointly by the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) commenced on 4 March 2024, and includes 36 participants from 29 countries.
In Module 1, held from March 4th to March 24th, 2024, and delivered by IACA, participants explored the structure and basic content of international legal instruments, gaining an understanding of the legal framework underpinning anti-corruption efforts worldwide. Additionally, they examined the roles and responsibilities of international governmental and non-governmental anti-corruption organizations, identified main obstacles to successful international action against corruption, learned about the impact of corruption on development assistance, and discussed prospects for effective anti-corruption action in the future.
The sessions were marked by highly interactive discussions, facilitated by IACA’s lecturer Mr. Drago Kos. Participants engaged in sharing insights, debating solutions, and forging connections, enriching their learning experience.
The UNITAR-delivered Module 2, focusing on Cross-Cultural Communication, is scheduled from 25 March to 14 April 2024. In this module, participants will acquire essential skills to engage effectively across diverse cultural landscapes.
