On 8 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) Campus in Laxenburg, Austria. Mr. Rovshan Sadigbayli, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to International Organizations in Vienna, and officials from the Prosecutor General’s Office accompanied the Prosecutor General.

Dr. Slagjana Taseva, Dean of the Academy, along with representatives of various departments provided a comprehensive briefing on IACA’s most recent developments and initiatives.

The discussion which followed centred on issues related to the current and future cooperation between IACA and Azerbaijan on various topics, including education, training, capacity-building, and research. Both parties agreed to maintain dialogue focusing on potential joint initiatives in areas where IACA could further support Azerbaijan’s anti-corruption efforts.

Azerbaijan has been a long-standing partner of IACA since becoming a Party in 2012.
