From 7 to 11 April 2025, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) was jointly organized in Spanish Language Online International Anti-Corruption School for Students and Young People in Latin America and Least Developed Countries (LDCs). The programme was implemented with the financial support of the Republic of Austria.

This online training brought together 43 participants selected from 11 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.

The training marks the eighth edition of IACA-UNODC online Anti-Corruption School for Students and Young People. Since 2021, IACA and UNODC have successfully supported about 300 young professionals in the fight against corruption through this joint programme.

The event was delivered by global anti-corruption experts, through a combination of recorded and live sessions. It featured modules on topics such as “What is corruption and why should you be interested?”, “Investigative Journalism”, “Prevention & Detection of Corruption in the Private Sector”, “Environmental Governance”, “The Role of Whistleblowers in Exposing Corruption”, “Regional Corruption Trends Over Past Decade”, “Corruption as a Hidden Obstacle to Climate Goals”, and “Corruption in the Health Sector.”
