The 15th International Anti-Corruption Summer Academy, the flagship programme of IACA, concluded on Friday, 6 June 2025, at the Academy’s historic campus in Laxenburg, Austria. This year’s edition brought together 54 anti-corruption and compliance professionals from 29 countries and jurisdictions for an intensive five-day programme. Thanks to the generous support provided by Siemens, IACA was able to award scholarships to selected participants.

Under the guiding theme “Where Practice Meets Science”, the 2025 Summer Academy provided a unique platform to bridge academic insight with practical experience. Professionals from the public and private sectors, international organizations, academia, and civil society came together to exchange ideas, share expertise, and explore innovative approaches to combat corruption.

The programme combined theoretical foundations with real-world applications, addressing a broad spectrum of pressing topics, from legislative frameworks and economic impacts to ethical leadership and investigative tools. New highlights this year included sessions on Collective Action and Artificial Intelligence as a Strategic Tool, empowering participants to examine the transformative role of technology in compliance and business integrity.

Lectures were delivered by renowned lecturers and experts from the OECD Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, SOAS University of London, the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and the University of St. Gallen, among others.

With the conclusion of the Academy, participants joined IACA’s global alumni network – now comprising over 7,000 anti-corruption and compliance professionals from 168 countries and jurisdictions. This vibrant community continues to foster cross-sectoral collaboration and knowledge exchange long after the programme ends, reinforcing IACA’s mission to promote a more transparent and ethical world.
