Thanks to the Malaysian Government’s generous support, IACA’s Anti-Corruption Regional Summer Academy (RSA) – Asia officially opened on Thursday,10 July, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Three years after the last RSA in Asia, IACA returned to bring together and empower anti-corruption professionals across the region.

The current edition welcomes 48 participants from 11 countries, comprising 26 male and 22 female participants. This diverse group includes professionals from the public sector, such as anti-corruption agencies, judiciary, and law enforcement authorities, as well as the private sector, civil society, international organization, and academia.

Under the theme “Practice meets Science”, participants will develop and deepen their existing anti-corruption knowledge, while gaining new insights to address and prevent corruption through lectures and peer discussions.

Ten expert lecturers from around the globe and region will address contemporary anti-corruption topics, including Overview of Corruption in Today’s Environment; International Cooperation in Combatting Corruption with Case Studies; 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhard) Case Related National and International Cooperation and Assistance; How to Say No to Corruption; Using AI to combat Corruption; The Art of Money Laundering: How Money Laundering Works in the Art World; The Role of Whistleblowers in Uncovering Corruption; and Unpacking Unethical Leadership and What We Can Do About It.

The training programme opens with team-building activities, and includes intensive in-class sessions.

During the four-day training, participants will benefit from outstanding networking opportunities and eventually join IACA’s alumni network of over 7,000 anti-corruption and compliance professionals from around 170 countries and jurisdictions.
