Between 16 and 17 September 2025, IACA delivered a two-day tailor-made training in Riyadh on addressing corruption risks in privatization processes for the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Nazaha).

The training brought together 26 participants for an intensive programme led by Mr. Guillaume de Rancourt, whose extensive international experience spans global investigations, compliance, and litigation, with a strong focus on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and anti-corruption.

Mr. de Rancourt’s deep expertise, particularly in high-profile cases related to privatization, significantly enriched the training, providing participants with practical tools and strategies to identify and mitigate corruption risks in complex privatization contexts.

On the first day, the training focused on how privatization can increase corruption risks. Through global case studies, participants explored various forms of corruption in privatization, with a focus on the Saudi context. Practical tools were shared to help identify red flags in both actors and transactions.

The second day adopted a hands-on approach, guiding participants in designing oversight mechanisms to safeguard integrity. Discussions also addressed the strategic role of anti-corruption authorities and explored key ethical and governance challenges in privatization processes.
