The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) recently hosted a specialized, tailor-made training for a delegation of 60 staff from Nazaha (The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), focusing on illicit enrichment and financial investigation. The two-day workshop, held on Monday 15, and Tuesday, 16 September, is part of a series of capacity-building activities for Nazaha delivered at IACA’s campus this month and the next. 

The training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the legal, investigative, and analytical frameworks relevant to illicit enrichment, strengthen their skills in tracing, gathering, and analyzing financial evidence, and enhance their ability to conduct complex financial investigations. A special emphasis was placed on practical tools, case studies, and cross-border cooperation in asset tracing. 

For Nazaha, the training contributed to strengthening institutional capacities to prevent, detect, and investigate corruption cases involving illicit enrichment. It also supported the professional development of staff by introducing methods relevant to both current and emerging challenges in financial crime. For IACA, this event further strengthens our partnership with Nazaha, underscoring our commitment to delivering demand-driven training tailored to the needs of anti-corruption agencies.
