The 14th Session of the Assembly of Parties (AoP) of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) was held on Wednesday, 4 November 2025, at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Austria. The Assembly serves as a key platform for Parties to deliberate on IACA’s overall policy and other matters under the IACA Agreement. This year’s session brought together 64 delegations, including two observers, and over 200 representatives from Parties, Signatories, and other stakeholders.
At the beginning of the session, the Assembly elected H.E. Mr. Djordje Radulović, Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the United Nations, as President of the Fourteenth Session. H.E. Mr. Yacouba Cisse of Côte d’Ivoire and H.E. Javier Enrique Caraballo Salazar of Panama were elected as Vice Presidents, while Mr. Jamal Awad Idris Mohamedali of Sudan and Mr. Junaid Suleman of Pakistan served as Rapporteurs.
Following the national statements delivered by IACA Parties and Observers, Chair of the IACA Board of Governors, Mr. Mathias Vogl, presented the Board’s report, emphasizing the Board’s strong support for the Academy’s mission and highlighting that investment in IACA yields tangible global benefits through impactful education, research, and capacity-building initiatives. Subsequently, Professor Slagjana Taseva, Dean and Executive Secretary of IACA, reaffirmed in her report the Academy’s steadfast commitment to advancing international cooperation, education, and capacity building in the global fight against corruption. After that, the Chair of the International Senior Advisory Board informed the Assembly on the activities of the Board in support of the Academy. The Assembly then proceeded to consider the presentation of the external auditor, which provided an overview of IACA’s financial position.
Furthermore, a panel discussion followed under the theme “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization on Corruption Risks and Enforcement Strategies.” Moderated by Mr. Eduard Ivanov, Acting Head of IACA’s Research and Analytics Department, the discussion featured Mr. Pawan Sinha, Ms. Katarina Garai, and Mr. Thomas Havranek, who examined how emerging technologies are reshaping compliance, prevention, and investigation practices.
The Assembly concluded with the adoption of five resolutions:
- Resolution on the Election of Members of the Board of Governors (AOP14-Res-2)
- Resolution on IACA Budget 2026 (AOP14-Res-3)
- Resolution on the Financial Stability of IACA (AOP14-Res-4)
- Resolution on General Matters (AOP14-Res-5)
- Resolution on the Convening and Agenda of the Fifteenth Session of the Assembly of Parties (AOP14-Res-6)
