On 10 December 2025, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) celebrated the graduation of its MACS, IMACC, and MACD master’s cohorts at its campus in Laxenburg, Austria.
The 2025 Classes represented 23 countries worldwide, reflecting IACA’s strong commitment to global diversity. Throughout their studies, graduates demonstrated outstanding academic excellence and produced innovative research addressing real-world integrity, compliance, and anti-corruption challenges.
The ceremony opened with remarks by Mr. Pawan Kumar Sinha, Director of Academic Programmes, speaking on behalf of IACA’s Interim Dean, who highlighted IACA’s role in advancing the United Nations Convention against Corruption through education and international co-operation.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shawn Teixeira, Head of the Siemens Integrity Initiative at Siemens, congratulated the graduates and praised IACA for its efforts to provide a neutral platform where research meets practice. He also emphasized Siemens’ continued support for students and programmes and encouraged graduates to remain engaged with IACA’s alumni network and turn their learning into ethical leadership and collective action.
Further remarks were delivered by Mr. Johannes Maerk, Chairperson of the IMACC Defence Committee, who encouraged graduates to apply universal social science methods thoughtfully within their local contexts.
The ceremony featured the presentation of Merit Awards for exceptional academic achievement, including the Best Master’s Thesis and Most Innovative Thesis Awards, as well as the Dean’s Special Award recognizing outstanding contributions to the field of anti-corruption.
The ceremony was also attended by distinguished guests, including H.E. Dr. Abdullah Khalid O. Tawlah, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the International Organizations in Vienna; H.E. Mr. Haytham Abdulmomen Hassan Shoja'aadin, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the International Organizations in Vienna; and H.E. Mr. David Dondua, Permanent Observer of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) to IACA.
Graduates were joined by family and friends both on-site and online to celebrate this important milestone.
