IACA ‘s Second Annual Conference on Global Trends and Challenges in Preventing and Combating Corruption took place on 13 November 2025.

The conference brought together 34 speakers and leading anti-corruption experts from international organizations, government authorities, global enterprises, sports organizations and NGOs, and more than 200 participants. The event provided a unique platform to explore emerging challenges and share innovative solutions in the global fight against corruption.

The first and second sessions addressed the nexus between corruption, organized crime, money laundering and wildlife crime, and examined new challenges for anti-corruption authorities. Speakers presented innovative solutions and new initiatives in asset recovery and return, such as Interpol’s Silver Note. Particular attention was given to the role of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies in preventing and combating corruption.

The third session explored approaches to promoting integrity and protecting the humanitarian aid sector from corrupt practices. Experts in integrity, compliance and investigations discussed corruption typologies and highlighted best practices within their organizations for building trust, and for the prevention and detection of corruption.

In the fourth session, speakers from various sectors and industries shared their experiences in implementing and maintaining effective and efficient anti-corruption compliance programmes, managing third-party risks, and promoting Collective Action initiatives.

The fifth session was dedicated to integrity and anti-corruption compliance in sport. Speakers discussed the role of international treaties, sports organizations and sport integrity units in protecting sport from corruption, including manipulation of sport competition and violations related to the use of doping. The session placed emphasis on the importance of safeguarding children and youth from corruption and violations of their rights.

In the sixth session, experts from different parts of the world presented the most innovative digital technologies and solutions that can be applied in anti-corruption and compliance.

The conference concluded with a renewed dedication to strengthening anti-corruption frameworks, enhancing compliance practices, and promoting international cooperation across public and private sectors.
