From 23 to 27 February 2026, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) jointly held the International Anti-Corruption School for Students and Young People – Africa and LDCs 2026 Edition. The programme was implemented with the financial support of the Republic of Austria.

This online training brought together 48 participants selected from 16 countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and Togo.

The event marked the 10th edition of the IACA-UNODC Online Anti-Corruption School for Students and Young People. Since 2021, IACA and UNODC have successfully supported young professionals in the fight against corruption through this joint programme.  

The training was administered and delivered by global experts on anti-corruption, through live sessions and recordings. It featured sessions on topics such as: what is corruption and why you should be interested; whistle-blowers and why their protection is essential; exploring the connection between governance and corruption; anti-corruption and artificial intelligence; an introduction to the principles of AI as a tool to prevent corruption; prevention & detection of corruption in the private sector; how to enhance transparency in the infrastructure sector; and the role of journalists in the fight against corruption.
