Over the past four weeks, the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) conducted online live sessions for the final module of its 2024 master’s programmes. Students from the Master in Anti-Corruption Studies (MACS) and the International Master in Anti-Corruption Compliance and Collective Action (IMACC) engaged in interactive sessions for Module 7. This concluding module explored collaboration within the anti-corruption field and examined the current and future impact of modern systems and technology.

Throughout the module, MACS and IMACC students explored a variety of interconnected topics under the guidance of renowned experts and academics, including Malika Ait-Mohamed Parent, Elizabeth Colton, Dorothea Garff, Michael Johnston, Jeroen Maesschalck, and Mark Worth.

The MACS students explored subjects such as corruption and humanitarian aid and corruption connected to modern media. Additionally, they gained insight into the topic of prevention of corruption and the investigation and prosecution of corruption cases. 

The IMACC cohort studied the future of compliance, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of compliance programmes. The members of IACA faculty -Pawan Kumar Sinha and Martin Zapata- led a Compliance Lab where students designed a collective action initiative. A final panel discussion with Rochelle Harris explored recent trends and developments in this field.

With this module complete, students now enter the final research phase to develop and defend their master’s theses.
