From 20 to 28 April 2026, students attended the third module of IACA’s MACS and IMACC master’s programmes. The module was taught in a hybrid format, with participants attending both online and on-site at the IACA campus in Laxenburg, Austria.

The courses covered topics such as sociology, criminology, and political economy in the context of corruption, and were taught by several world-renowned experts in the field. These included Morten Koch Andersen, Katarina Garai, Dr. Ina Kubbe, Dr. Pallavi Roy, Dr. Srinivas Yanamandra, and IACA’s in-house faculty members, Pawan Kumar Sinha and Martin Zapata.

In addition, the on-site students visited the Vienna International Centre for a lecture by UNODC staff and a guided tour. IACA also organized an evening get-together and a thematic ‘’Ethics Hike’’ in Laxenburg’s Schlosspark, allowing students to engage and network with one another.

Both the MACS and the IMACC programmes provide an interdisciplinary perspective on compliance and anti-corruption. While MACS focuses on the public sector, IMACC centres on anti-corruption compliance and collective action in the private sector.
