From 22 to 23 April 2026, IACA delivered in Riyadh a two-day tailor-made training programme on Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) for Corruption Investigations for the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Nazaha).

The training brought together twenty participants and was led by Mr. Vytenis Benetis, a renowned expert in open-source intelligence and anti-corruption investigations. The programme focused on the application of OSINT methodologies, defined as the use of publicly available information for investigative purposes, within the context of corruption investigations. It highlighted OSINT as a practical and powerful tool in strengthening institutional integrity and accountability in the fight against corruption.

On the first day, the programme covered topics, such as Operational Security (OPSEC) and the Intelligence Cycle; Identity Resolution and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs); and Tracing Corporate Structures and Beneficial Ownership (UBO).

The second day focused on applied investigative challenges, with sessions on Public Procurement Fraud Detection; and Asset Recovery, including Illicit Enrichment and Crypto Tracing. The programme concluded with sessions on Advanced Analysis; AI tools; and effective reporting techniques, providing the participants with the conceptual grounding and specialized skills needed to apply these methodologies to their investigative work.
